Rhode Island Beach Wedding Full of Classic Romance

When you envision a beach wedding in New England, what comes to mind? Probably soft, pastel hues and a quintessential house on the coast. And that’s exactly what Marissa and Mark achieved with their beautiful, intimate Rhode Island wedding this past July.

Rhode Island Wedding by the Sea

Mark and Marissa chose the Newport Beach House for their big day. Owned and coordinated by Longwood Venues & Destinations, this gorgeous Rhode Island spot is the only private venue in the city. Between the pristine beach and breathtaking views, it’s the perfect backdrop for any couple wanting a coastal New England wedding.

Marissa and Mark love Newport and fell in love with the Beach House when they were searching for a wedding venue. Marissa is a beach lover at heart, and they spend a lot of time on their boat. So of course, it only made sense for them to make their love “official” by the water!

The bridesmaids’ soft blush dresses and the groomsmen’s blue suits, combined with the simple white bouquets and floral arrangements, completed the couple’s nautical, summer-y vision.

They even captured the seaside theme down to the details.

A Picture-Perfect Love…

Marissa and Mark are the type of couple that are quiet and poised, yet in front of the camera know how to shake off their nerves and unfold their love. When I met them at their engagement session, I knew their wedding day was going to be perfect. The love they have for each other and the way they made each other laugh was the cutest.

…And a Day to Remember

It was a foggy, hot summer day in Newport and the venue sits right on the water. The haze actually made for some beautifully moody photos that make you feel as if you’re back on the beach. Despite the heat, they were troopers and pulled it off!

We were able to walk the Cliff Walk and snap a few stunning shots at Mark and Marissa’s favorite spot, the 40 Steps.

Next, we were able to stop by Salve Regina before heading back to the venue for the wedding reception. Its awe-inspiring architecture serves as a classically romantic background.

Mark and Marissa celebrated their wedding day with around 100 of their closest friends and family members. It was evident throughout the relaxed, beachside day that their loved ones shared their joy, and I am grateful I got to be a part of it!
