In this city it’s either really easy to gain a new friend or hard to find them. I met Brandilyn through a mutual friend and it seems like all the friends Iv’e meet after having Lukas have kids, or a new baby. There was an instant mommy connection with Brandilyn and I.

Where do I begin to explain Giuliana & Harrison’s wedding day at the Chebeague Island Inn last weekend? It was beyond beautiful from start to finish and there were many happy tears to be shed. Giuliana & Harrison reached out to me last year about photographing their wedding in Maine. I couldn’t say yes fast enough! Not only because I’m from Maine but, there was something right from the beginning where I felt connected in some way to the two of them. Giuliana being Brazilian & Harrison being Jewish they both live in Florida and brought both sides of their families to this beautiful island where both traditions were tied into one day.

I love weddings and engagements but nothing beats photographing a newborn just 2 weeks right before the holidays. Lizzie and her husband Steve welcomed me into their home to photograph Connor last week, While Lizzie and I were pregnant at the same time It was such a fun experience to share similar stories about what was working and not working with us during this journey. Same goes for our newborns It’s been a real pleasure being able to talk to someone going through the same thing when your lost or just need some advice because when your a new mom you feel nervous, everything seems like the baby is “hurt” when he’s not and your in full survival mode. Connor was the sweetest ever and better yet he had SO MUCH hair! These three made the session pretty easy and fun at that! 🙂

Kelsey and Chris showed me around their cute but spooky town of Salem where we explored some really epic spots to take pictures. Salem was in it’s PRIME for halloween even throughout the month of September into October (If you don’t know people travel from all over to get into the spirit and if your from Salem well.. you just know how crazy people get. We didn’t get a pretty sunset or a beautiful fall day but, we took the chance of going out on a gloomy afternoon and got a little rained on. It made for a killer engagement session to say the least! These two are getting married in Maine next year and I couldn’t be happier for them!
